About the project
We were asked to design an interaction that would connect people. In pairs, we were to create our interactions using an Arduino Uno and it was to have at least two inputs.
Collection Connection was focused on finding lost interactions, like hugging, handshakes and fist bumps, that became obsolete due to COVID-19 and social distancing. Our aim was to re-create these interactions in a COVID-safe-way and allow people to reconnect.
Final Prototype
Due to the lockdown in December 2020, we were unable to finish the project in the same room, let alone to the standard we had hoped for. Despite this, we were both incredibly happy with what we could make and are hoping to expand this project as a collection of interaction replacements that go beyond COVID-19 restrictions.
